A final cleaning, not a construction cleanup
This service is the last step of a renovation, not part of the building work. The property must be empty of furniture and free of active construction work, construction crews, tools and building materials. What the work leaves behind is dust, and that is what we clean. We don’t remove heavy construction debris.
If the job is not quite finished, book us for after the last contractor leaves. We can’t reclean areas after later work by other trades, so cleaning before then only means cleaning twice.
I’ve booked with them several times now and each time I have had a great experience! Great quality staff, very friendly, great attention to detail. Their customer service is always on point and they always make sure you’re happy with the end results. I will continue using them for any professional cleaning services and would recommend them to any friend or family!
How we remove construction dust
We take extra time to thoroughly remove construction dust from accessible surfaces, horizontal and vertical, then go back over the ledges, trim, baseboards and accessible crevices where it collects. Accessible A/C vent covers are cleaned; air ducts and HVAC interiors are excluded.
Interior windows are cleaned with their frames, sills and accessible tracks, and both sides of accessible blinds are cleaned when safe. The kitchen and bathrooms are cleaned thoroughly once the dust is off. Carpets are HEPA-vacuumed and hard floors vacuumed and mopped, and the floors are always the last job: a final construction-dust inspection and touch-up follows them.

Inside the cabinets and appliances
Construction dust gets inside everything, so the empty kitchen and bathroom cabinets and drawers are cleaned inside, and so are the oven and the empty refrigerator. They need to be empty when we arrive. One sliding glass or patio door is cleaned inside and outside. The checklist lists every item.
I’ve used Classmaids for a while now and they are an excellent cleaning company. Their customer service is terrific and the quality of the cleaning is top-notch. I highly recommend.
Getting the home ready for us
Please make sure the work is complete, the crews, tools and materials are gone, and the furniture is out. We ask you to be there at the start and for a walkthrough at the end, as with any one-time cleaning, so anything missed is corrected before the team leaves.
A patio, balcony or garage, and extra patio doors, can be added if booked in advance. Tell us what the work was, which rooms it touched and when it finishes, and we will quote the job.
Before we arrive
- The construction or renovation must be finished, with the crews, tools and building materials gone.
- The property must be empty of furniture.
- Kitchen and bathroom cabinets and drawers, the oven and the refrigerator must be empty, so we can clean the construction dust out of them.
- Please be available at the start to explain access and priorities, and at the end for a walkthrough with the team. Point out anything missed and they will correct it before they leave.
How to get started
Book as soon as your contractor gives you a finish date, and let us know if it moves. Renovations often run over, and we would rather shift your cleaning than arrive while work is still going on.
- Request an estimate Send us a few details online, or call the office during business hours. This is a request, not an instant price.
- We call you back We ask about the space and anything that needs particular care, then give you your estimate.
- Pick your day We book the date that suits you, and walk through with you at the end.
